In 1987, Progressive Land Management, Inc. began as a company to manage citrus and avocado ranches in Ventura County.  The company's founder, Mike Mobley, still runs the company along with a team of experienced professionals.  Mike has over 30 years experience managing citrus and avocado ranches.  While the company's managed acreage is in Ventura County, the company has done work in Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Counties.

The company's name contains the word "Progressive" because that is the underlying philosophy of the company.  Continuing to advance and improve the cultural practices utilized by the company is paramont.  Emphasis is on increasing worker efficiency and safety while constantly trying to improve the health and production of the citrus and avocado trees.   

After years of study and research the company has shifted it's focus to the most critical factor in the production of quality citrus and avocados, the health of the soil's ecosystem.  In the soil that surrounds the tree's roots lives a huge population of diverse microorganisms that share an important symbiotic relationship with the trees.  The health of this microbe population is in direct porportion with the health and productiveness of the citrus and avocado trees.  By changing to and emphasizing cultural practices that improve the health of the microbe population the company has been able to do a better jobs for it's clients and stay progressive.
